What happens if I don't have insurance?
Without adequate insurance, we will not be able to proceed with your rental. Ensuring the equipment is protected is essential to safeguarding your project and our assets.
Do I need an account to rent equipment?
Yes, creating an account is necessary to book equipment with Menace Rentals. You can easily set up an account online or by contacting our team directly.
Can I take rental equipment outside the UK?
No, our equipment rentals are restricted to use within the UK. This policy ensures we maintain the highest standards of service and equipment reliability.
Can I extend my rental period?
If you wish to extend your hire, contact us as soon as possible. As long as the equipment isn't reserved for another booking, we can extend your rental and adjust the payment accordingly.
What documentation do I need to hire equipment?
Proof of Billing: Bank Statement Utility bill (not mobile) Government tax document. For sole traders, personal hires and limited companies with a payment card registered to a residential address, we will also require a colour copy of one of the following: Photo ID: Valid UK passport EU passport & settle status code Passport outside EU & a valid residency permit Colour copy of valid UK photo driving licence (if a UK passport holder)
Who owns the equipment and intellectual property during and after rental?
Menace Rentals retains ownership of all rental equipment. Any content or footage created using rented equipment remains the intellectual property of the client, assuming third-party rights are not infringed.
What are the rental terms and payment policies?
Rental fees must be paid in full prior to equipment collection or delivery. We offer transparent pricing with no hidden fees, ensuring a straightforward rental experience.
What is the cancellation policy for rentals?
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the rental start date may incur a cancellation fee. Specific terms will be outlined in the rental agreement.
Is there a deposit required for renting equipment?
Yes, a refundable security deposit is required for all rentals. The deposit amount depends on the value of the equipment being rented and will be returned upon safe and timely return of the items.
What happens if the equipment is damaged or lost during the rental period?
Clients are responsible for any damage or loss of equipment during the rental period. This is why we require adequate insurance coverage for the rented items.
Can I extend my rental period?
Extensions are possible but subject to availability. Clients must notify us in advance to arrange for an extended rental period and pay any additional fees.
